Since the 1950's, WIT has developed the most diverse line of high-speed machine vision inspection and imaging technologies for quality assurance and control.  WIT has been providing technologies for companies large and small to meet their quality initiatives and goals with tens of thousands of dollars saved per year by our customers.  Additionally, our customers have improved product quality, process efficiencies and increased customer base.  Our sensing technologies for defect imaging, measurement, classification and analysis include:

Capacitive Technologies
Resistive Technologies
Phototransistor Technology
Photomultiplier Technology
Laser Technology
CCD Linear Array Technology
Patented Streak Sensor Technology
Process Software and Data Mining Technology

Our wide-ranging technologies makes it possible to choose the right solution and accessories for your specific quality initiatives and inspection application.

1000 Series Technologies

Our Splice and Tearout Detector.  Edge of web mounting and cost effective, this technology is the leader worldwide.

Our Splice and Missing Ply Detector.  Center of web mounting means no operational interface is needed at all, just plug and play.

Our Metallized Splice Detector was developed for detection of splices in metallized web materials.

Our Register Control Technology give you cost effective in-register of keymarks, watermarks, print and related registration applications.

Our Reject Control Technology provides reliable gate control of sheeter applications where the need to reject defective sheeted material is required.

Our Multicolor Spray Marking System for edge of web marking for defect location and/or process control identification.  5 standard colors with the option to add more colors as required.

2000 Series Technologies

Our Infrared Hole/Flaw Detection System will reliably detect holes, dirt, bugs, oil as well as many other common defects that occur during web material manufacturing.  Detection capabilities as small as 1/32" (0.8mm) diameter and larger are obtainable.

Our Ultraviolet Hole Detector is the most cost effective and reliable hole detector offered.  Designed for web materials above 22lbs/3300 sq. ft.  (35 gsm), this technology will consistently provide hole detection as small as 1/16" (1.5mm) diameter.

Sheeter Inspection Technologies

Our FCS-WIS was developed for the inspection of sheeted material.  This technology incorporates cost effective high definition filtering that provides complete inspection and rejection of all defective future sheeted material.  Future slit line compatible, this systems can easily adapt to changes in production from parent roll to end product.

3000 Series Technologies

Our HD3010 is our High Resolution Imaging Technology where the need for high-speed capabilities is needed.  Based on 1024 pixel line scan sensing technology, this solution will truly deliver reliable and accurate results where spot type defects are your priority.

Our HD3020 is the worlds leading state-of-the-art Coating Streak and Scratch Imaging Solution.  Industry proven and qualified by the AFPA and IPST, our patented streak detection technology will provide detection capabilities down to 1 micron at any known speed.

Our HD3030 takes our leading line scan technology and coating streak detection technology and combines them into one fully comprehensive and powerful imaging inspection tool.  Incorporating dual sensing technology (originally developed by R.K.B), this solution delivers unequaled performance for all coated material processes.

Our HD3040 incorporates our leading signal processing technology developed for our  high resolution systems and makes possible cost effective industry standard machine vision technology.  Based on 2048 pixel line scan technologies, our HD3040 provides reliable and accurate detection where holes and gross spot defects are priority.

Our HD3050 makes possible high-speed pinhole detection of web based materials.  Designed to mount to existing scanner technologies, this solution will provide cost effective, on-line analytical data of hole distribution in a wide variety of specialty papers, metals, foils,  and films.

Our HD 3060 Edge Crack Detection Technology will provide continuous monitoring of web material edges for the slightest cracks that can bring your process down.  Incorporated with high-speed Web Break Analysis Technologies from our partners, this solution will provide production with the tools necessary to limit and reduce machine breaks.

4000 Series Technologies

Our Crease and Lump Detector is designed for high gloss, high end coated web material applications such as cast coat, magnetic media and other materials where the slightest elevation will result in lost production, down time and poor quality.

9000 Series Technologies

Our HR9000 was developed with the magnetic media industry.  This technology incorporates high definition filtering, patented technologies and specialized lenses that bring laboratory microscopic verification to on-line inspection of the most subtle defects known to occur in the manufacturing of magnetic media, fuel cell technology and other very sensitive coated materials.
